Learning Objective: Introduce students to one-dimensional isentropic (shock-free) and non-isentropic (shock) flow phenomena in supersonic nozzles.

- Develop ability to describe variation of various flow and thermodynamic properties in the flow direction for shock and shock-free flows.
- Ability to use interrelationships between stagnation and static properties and delineate flow regimes using Mach number.
