COMPOSITE MATERIALS: FABRICATION/ANALYSIS/TESTING/RESEARCH

 Fabricated a transparent composite with E-glass fibers and polyester resin.

 Developed stress analysis methods for fiber reinforced composites.

 Developed new test specimens for characterizing composites.

 Conducted research in various aspects of composites: tension, flexure, fatigue, fracture, bolted joints, behavior
 of  structural members, etc.

Patent recipient for a composite gage for measuring crack length Ñ composite fabricated from carbon powder and   resin.

Developed a research laboratory for experimental mechanics of composite materials.

In the process of developing test facilities for compression and impact testing of composites.

Developed a graduate course in composite materials, emphasizing the material aspects.

Obtained an instrument for measuring Polymer Glass Transition Temperature from Huntsman Chemicals.
